Known through the 1960s and 70s as one of the fiercest exponents of free jazz, Sanders here reimagined himself as a more traditional improviser - capable of nuance, elegance, and unexpected tenderness without losing the depth of his searching spirit. The album finds Sanders in superb company with William Henderson (piano), Stafford James (bass), Eddie Moore (drums), and Senegalese percussionist Cheikh Tidiane Fall. Together, they deliver a set that balances classic repertoire - including The Night Has a Thousand Eyes and All or Nothing at All - with a jubilant title track that has become one of Sanders' most approachable and memorable recordings.
