THOMAS DOLBY The Gate To The Mind's Eye (A natural fit for soundtrack work, Thomas Dolby's The Gate to the Mind's Eye blends electronic instrumentals, experimental dance tracks, and 1930s pastiche with a cinematic sweep. Originally composed for a computer animation project, this 1994 release showcases Dolby's signature inventiveness across a range of moods and textures. Vocals appear on five of the nine tracks, including two contributions by astrophysicist and musician Dr. Fiorella Terenzi, while Dolby himself adds both singing and rapped elements. Long out of print, this edition is pressed on 180-gram Silver Vinyl, limited to just 750 individually numbered copies. Picture sleeve with gold hype sticker and an insert. Recommended)
