Recorded between 1967 and 1970 at Duke Reid's Treasure Isle Recording Studios in Kingston, Jamaica, Mr Soul Of Jamaica was the first album by rocksteady star Alton Ellis, one of the innovators of the genre and given the informal title 'Godfather of Rocksteady'. Picture sleeve with original cover art, and gold hype sticker. Individually silver-foil numbered and limited to just 750 copies worldwide!)

Alton Ellis was inducted into the International Reggae And World Music Awards Hall Of Fame in 2006.
