JOHN COLTRANE QUINTET Second Night In Tokyo (1977
Japanese-only promotional sample 7-track mono triple LP box
set for review ahead of release, featuring the entire concert
from 11th July 1966 at the Sankei Hall in Tokyo, starring
Pharoah Sanders on Sax, Alice Coltrane on Piano, Jimmy
Garrison on Bass & Rashied Ali on Drums, including an eleven
minute interview with Trane. This wonderful set also includes
a twelve-page illustrated booklet complete with the 'SJ Seal
Of Approval' obi-strip & high quality picture box. Recorded
almost a year to the day before his untimely death, this rare
concert shows an artist at the top of his game with a band so
comfortable with the material that they all breathe as one.
The packaging shows minimal age wear & the vinyl is
