TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
Information
Originally released in 1967, this issue was pressed in 1969 at the time where stereo was the in thing and mono releases were not selling. Mono issues would shortly be phased out completely.
This was only available in the shops for about a one month period, before it was withdrawn and the new style EMI 'one box' black & silver record labels were introduced. This is the last mono pressing with the black & yellow label design & only one without the 'Sold In UK' text.
Matrix numbers
Side 1: XEX 637-1
Side 2: XEX 638-1
As mentioned above this comes in a fully laminated internal flipback gatefold picture sleeve manufactured by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd, complete with intact sheet of cut-outs.
Condition
The sleeve shows just some light shelfwear with a little scuffing to the edges, but nothing extreme and it still remains crisp with vivid colours. A far better than average example.
There are mild spindle marks around the centre hole but the vinyl itself remains in excellent condition. There is none of the usual scuffing or signs of a heavy stylus, so it has clearly been played on reasonably high end equipment, rather than a stacking autochanger. The spindle marks seem more an indication of bad aim than anything else.
A less than mint but far from average copy of this extremely rare Pepper variant at a seriously advantageous price !
