VAN MORRISON His Band & The Street Choir (1970 US 12-track
stereo LP, opening with one of Van's biggest US hits. The labels are
the original olive green colour with the 'WB' shield logo at the top. Of
note is the 'RL' etching next to the 'Sterling' stamper in the run-out of
side one. This indicates a Robert Ludwig-mastered 'hot pressing'. All
elements of Bob’s trademark mastering style are here: incredible clarity
& balanced channel separation, vivid & spacious ambience & wide
dynamicfrequency range. As is usually the case, these earliest
Ludwig-mastered pressings are harder to find than non-etched 'RL'
pressings! The gatefold sleeve is in Excellent condition, with lyric insert
& company inner. The vinyl is also Excellent with just a few light
blemishes to indicate play WS1884)
