THE CONGOS Heart Of The Congos (2017 US 3-LP reissue of the
classic '70s Jamaican LP, picture sleeve. Absolute stone cold classic
roots reggae album produced by Lee 'Scratch' Perry at the legendary
Black Ark studios, featuring the close harmoniesof the Congos over
top of a rock solid rhythm section created by Sly Dunbar, Boris
Gardiner, Ernest Ranglin and Winston Wright. Tracks A1 to C2 are the
remixed version of the album, released in 1978. The bonus tracks are
various dubs, disco mixes, seven and twelve-inch versions from
around the same time period. The hypestickered sleeve is still sealed
therefore the contents are Mint VPRL4212)
