TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
Indian Pressings:

Beatles Indian Pressings: EMI had pressing plants in many locations throughout the world and India was no exception. The Gramophone Company of India began local production in 1958 and dominated the market throughout the 1960s.

Condition:
The front laminated flipback picture sleeve has no mention of manufacturer although appears very similar to the U.K.'s Garrod & Lofthouse design. It is graded VG, mainly due to some wear to the opening edge, one biro annotation to the rear top left corner and some light laminate rippling in places and a little bowing. However, this does the sleeve a disservice as 99% of original '60s Indian pressed vinyl are now commonly found in very poor condition. The laminate does still retain a bright sheen, all text is clearly legible and the unlaminated reverse panel is still a very acceptable off-white with none of the excessive discoloration usually found and all flipbacks strong and secure. The additional text, 'Manufactured by the Gramophone Company Limited [Incorporated in England with Limited Liability] Dum Dum, India is pretty damn cool too!

The labels are very similar to the U.K. black and yellow Parlophone design but have a few subtle differences; no 'Sold In U.K.' text, 'Made In India' across the bottom section of the label and an overall matt finish to the label.

The vinyl was manufactured in India by the wonderfully named Dum Dum Company [named after a particularly deadly type of bullet], they were pressed from U.K. masters and this copy carries the same matrix numbers as the U.K. first issue

The matrix numbers in the run-outs are:

Side 1 XEX 481-3N
Side 2 XEX 482-3N

The vinyl is conservatively graded EX- with some faint hairlines visible but nothing excessive and no spindle wear at all on the labels indicating very little play.
