GENESIS R-Kive (2014 Japanese exclusive limited edition 37-track digitally remastered enhanced triple SHM-CD [Super High Material CD - playable on all CD players] set, featuring an anthology collection spanning forty-two years, featuring classic Genesis material alongside solo material by Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett and Mike Rutherford/Mike & The Mechanics. Genesis and their associated solo projects have accumulated a remarkable and undiminished series of accomplishments over the years, and have collectively amassed an incredible fourteen chart-topping albums, as well as over two dozen more which reached the Top 10. Housed in a fold-out digipak picture sleeve with picture discography booklet, separate 54-page English & Japanese lyric booklet, and full back wrap-around obi-strip. The SHM-CD [Super High Material CD] format features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players.
