MILES DAVIS E.S.P. (Astounding audiophile quality stereo 180-gram vinyl LP pressing at 33RPM from Impex Records, remastered from the original analogue tapes by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Originally released in 1965 this inventive post-bop treasure finds Miles totally reenergized by the young talent of his second quintet. The album is a brilliantly excecuted exercise in tension and release! Faithfully reproduced sleeve and labels of the finest quality, sealed with its gold elliptical Impex Records sticker. A simply beautiful pressing!)
TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
This was the first time Wayne Shorter recorded with Miles, and the band — in this configuration — had been together for less than a year. Especially notice Wayne Shorter’s brilliant interplay with Miles on the closing track “Mood,” the haunting ballad written by bassist Ron Carter.
