CD 1. 'In My Room' Sillitoe-like kitchen sink dramas. Tiny worlds in bedsits, minute observations and snatched conversations, Soft Cell made a whole career out of this disc alone.

CD 2 'Where's The Girl?'. Songs for or about or by females. Songs of love, both lost and found. Scott is perhaps best known for his enormous ballads and his best known hit had a girl's name.


CD 3 'An American In Europe' shows Scott as the accomplished American musician finding a whole new world of music in Europe. The CD is carved up into two parts reflecting the two different settings. Brel sits beside Scott's own home - folk songs.

CD 4. 'This Is How You Disappear'. Or how 'I learnt to hate being a popstar' 15 of Scott's biggest hits unencumbered by chart placings and radio play, these are only hits in boxing terms. The CD you frighten your parents with, that clearly sets out his stall selling the dark, beautiful and often the perverse.


CD 5. 'Scott On Screen' Originally planned as a bonus CD as it contains the rarest, hardest-to-find tracks once spread all over odd soundtracks and compilations, but which developed a life of its own due to the cinematic nature in his music. An accomplished film buff - many of Scott's themes and songs would make for good scripts and a strong visual narrative often belies a greater event in any song than any strict verse-chorus structures would allow.
