TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
Released on November 22nd 1963, this was the second Beatles release in the UK.
The labels are the classic black and yellow Parlophone with 'Recording First Published' but without 'Sold In The UK' text. The perimeter print is in capitals & credits 'THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD'.
The Side Two label also carries the misprint of 'Gotta' & the credit of 'Jobete Mus. NCB' for 'Money', along with the 'Willson' credit for 'Till There Was You'.
The matrix numbers are:
Side 1 YEX 110-2
Side 2 YEX 111-2
Condition:-
Visually, the vinyl looks VG with just a few light surface hairlines to show for fifty plus years, none are significant & upon playtesting we can confirm smooth undistorted play with minimal surface noise, even between tracks. Thanks to the superior quality of this 1963 pressing, this still reproduces the sonics beautifully.
There is a little paper loss to the Side 1 and a little more to the Side 2 label, with no writing.
The Garrod & Lofthouse front laminated flipback picture sleeve with 'Patents Pending' credit on the bottom flip & large block 'stereo' on the front. This is the 'darker' print front and, like the labels, it misprints 'You Really Got A Hold On Me' as 'Gotta'.
The sleeve shows areas of discolouration to the unlaminated reverse with moderate wear to the opening edge and is free from seam splits or writing.
This is a very nice copy of the first stereo issue at a great price!
