9-track remastered double LP compilation pressed on
180gram Vinyl, featuring previously unreleased
material. Both Miles Davis & Betty Davis fans have long debated
the truth of a near mythological session recorded in Studios B &
E at Columbia’s 52nd Street Studios on May 14th & 20th, 1969.
This landmark session was produced by Miles & Teo Macero &
featured Betty on vocals, accompanied by Jimi Hendrix
Experience drummerMitch Mitchell, guitarist John McLaughlin,
Herbie Hancock on keys & Dylan/Miles session bassist Harvey
Brooks. Other players included bassist Billy Cox [Band of
Gypsys], saxophonist Wayne Shorter & organist Larry Young.
Presented here for the first time, it's a fascinating glimpse of how
the groundbreaking music here shaped both artist's careers.
Comes housed in a deluxe gatefold picture sleeve with 16-page
booklet containing interviews, rare photos & historical
documents from the Teo Macero archive. Factory sealed &
