TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
This is the original issue from May 1964.
The UK rear sleeve has no track times & also shows only Four Outlined Epitaphs. The rear sleeve showed poems 1, 2, 7 and 8, and there was no insert as with the US release.
The label is of the 'rough' CBS variety, with centre boxed logo, '33' instead of '33 1/3' near the bottom left corner of the logo & 'Blossom Music Ltd' Credit to the centre right.
The stamped Matrices in the run off are 62251 A2 & B2.
The inner is the plain poly lined of the time with 'British Patent No.' & 'Foreign Patents Pending' text at bottom right & 'Made In England' at bottom left.
Condition :-
Other than some extremely negligible signs of wear, the sleeve is in beautiful condition with only a faint mark from where a sticker was previously placed on the front. Otherwise the sleeve is clean with all text legible and free from scuffing.
The sleeve is front laminated with 45° edged flipbacks, confirming a first issue.
The spine is still clearly readable & the front also shows no evidence of fading or age yellowing. There is minimal evidence of general shelfwear with only a single crease in one corner of the sleeve & no edge scuffing at all to speak of.
This copy has obviously been stored very well indeed.
The vinyl itself matches the sleeve. Other than some light spindlewear from very occasional play, the vinyl itself is beautiful and has retained its sheen, looking as near 'as new' as you could possibly get without a time machine.
A wonderful copy of this nearly sixty year old album & a real treat to view.
