THE BEATLES Please Please Me (1963 UK fifth press 14-track Mono vinyl LP with 'The Parlophone Co' label perimeter text & 'Recording First Published' credit, but without 'Sold In UK', front laminated Ernest J. Day flipback picture sleeve with polylined 'Emitex' inner PMC1202) ** See 'More Info' for further details on condition ...

TRACKLISTING AND EXTRA INFORMATION
The first two issues were on the black and gold design label and the first yellow & black issue lacked the 'Recording First Published' text & retained the small '33 1/3' after the matrix number of the first two pressings. The second yellow & black removed the small '33 1/3' print.
This is therefore technically the fifth issue, still from 1963.

The Labels:
Black and Yellow Parlophone in design with 'The Parlophone Co Ltd' perimeter & 'Recording First Published' label text. As this is a 1963 pressing there is no 'Sold in the UK' text across the centre of the label.

The Sleeve:
The Ernest J. Day sleeve has the large block 'mono' logo on the front & benefits from crisp, clear laminate & rich colours. The panels are clean & in Excellent condition. The cover grades VG+ due to a couple of tiny paper fractures on a few edges. With no writing & a clearly legible spine, this is a very presentable example.

Vinyl:
The vinyl has retained its shine, with a few spindle marks around the centre hole. The labels exhibit no tears or writing & the stamped matrices in the run-outs both end '1N'. On close inspection, the vinyl is clean with some faint paper scuffs & mild hairlines either side which have little effect on play. There are no raised scratches & playback reveals great sound clarity for a VG/VG+ copy, with some light background surface to be expected with no jumps or sticks.

An iconic classic from the Fabs that should be in every record collection.
