JIMI HENDRIX Live 1967/68 Paris/Ottawa (2009 US limited edition box set comprising a 12-track sealed CD and a 7-track LP pressed on Colour Splatter Clear Vinyl, featuring previously unreleased live recordings captured in 1967 & 1968. The box also contains exclusive & specifically created memorabilia including a poster, a postcard set replicating classic Hendrix concert posters, a set of badges reminiscent of the sixties era, a Hendrix iPod Skin, a 'PikCARD' loaded with four guitarpicks adorned with Hendrix artwork from the concert posters & in celebration of the 40th anniversary of Hendrix's headlining the Woodstock Festival, a specially created Large Hendrix Woodstock t-shirt. The January 29th 1968 Paris concert was the band's third foray to the fabled L'Olympia Theater where they had debuted as an opening act for the French pop star Johnny Halliday's two years earlier, while the Ottawa performances were taped by Hendrix himself during the group's appearance at the Capitol Theater on March 19th of that same year and features a 'Hendrixised' version of the Beatles' 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band'.
